http://www.linuxquestions.org – hello, i used mailscanner and works well now, but confused why still get spam mail...for just one user email address.....sometimes 10 spam mail user will get actually how the best way to configure for mail spamassassin ? i already setting spamassassin services but spam still log to my server... anyone have face this problem....pls help me.. (HowTos)

I recently installed and configured spamassassin using this tutorial

I sent some spammy emails to test if it was working, and it appears to be filtering out the spam emails from hitting my inbox, but I can't figure out where the spam emails are going.

I keep training SpamAssassin with the spam that slips through, but don't see any improvement is spam detection. The details are these:

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone knows if SpamAssassin will still filter mails even if they are set to "Remote Mail Exchanger" in the DNS settings? We have a customer who uses exchange in there office but has there web site on our server and they are getting allot of spam.

I have a mail server with Sendmail 8.13.1/8.13.1 & spamassassin. For mail forwarding I have procmail, aliases, .forward (home folder of each user).

I have having trouble setting Mail forwarding.

Currently, all emails recd for user John is forwarded to Mary, Peter, Rob.

What I would like to do is: For emails with spam score of 6 & more, forward to "junk" folder only. For all other emails

How to tune the mail server to block the incoming spam, currently we are using

cPanel/WHM 11.32.3 (build 21) OS : CENTOS 6.2 x86_64 standard CSF firewall ClamAV AntiVirus

we do use SpamAssassin To fight against spam mails but still receiving uncountable spam mails

any solutions to this ?

Hello,

I would like to stop the flow of spam with Zip files attached without completely banning Zip files from our e-mail.

I'm having trouble finding a way to get spamassassin to give emails with zip attachments a few points.

Does anyone know of a way to do this? Any other suggestions on banishing spam with Zip files would be welcome as well.
