http://crunchbang.org – Sorry about this, but I'm hoping that someone can help me with my wife's Windows 7 laptop.  For some reason it's stopped seeing and connecting to our home network. It can see various other networks in our locality, but not our home one. All other computers, radios & phones connect seamlessly, but this Windows laptop.It's years since I've troubleshooted a Windows machine so I don't have a clue.I've tried rebooting; turning the wireless off & on; manually entering the details. All to no effect. Yet it's seeing other networks! If I plug in a n (HowTos)

Can't connect to internet 33 weeks 1 day ago

I am able to connect to my home network, but Firefox and Chrome will not connect to the internet. How can I fix this? I am using a wireless laptop. I have troubleshooted that my network is working, and I am currently using my home network with a Windows laptop I borrowed from work. Both browsers worked previously from home and the public network at the library. I am very new to Linux.

I have a Buffalo WLI-UC-G300N Wireless Lan Adapter that is not connecting to my wireless router. It sees all my neighbors' wireless networks in addition to my own. I have checked and double checked that I'm entering the wireless key correctly but it will not connect to my network.

Just installed Ubuntu 12.04 a couple of weeks ago on my HP laptop (completely replaced Windows). Everything seemed fine until a few days ago when I was unable to connect to the internet with my wireless network at home. I also tried three other wireless networks and also tried to connect by ethernet cable. These are all networks that I have been able to connect to in the past with no problems.

So I'm using a starling netbook which worked perfectly fine for about the first 5 months I owned it. Last night, I started having problems. I came home and it was having difficulties connecting to my home wireless network. It would start connecting and then drop the connection. i tried rebooting, and it only got worse. Now, the wireless card doesn't recognize anything.

I've just installed ubuntu on my laptop and I'm trying to connect to the wireless network that the other computers in my house are using.

I have an Acer Aspire running windows 7 and Ubuntu. I am new to Ubuntu so treat me like i know nothing.

I decided to install ubuntu so I installed it as a separate operating selectable on startup.

My laptop was running smoothly until yesterday. Today, I can't connect to the Internet at home anymore. I am only able to access the router, but no Internet access.

A have a Dell Latitude E6320 with Ubuntu 12.04. At my job, I don't have any problems connecting this laptop both via wireless and ethernet. At home, if I try connecting it through Windows it does work fine.
