Sony Xperia T Set for October 1st UK Launch

http://www.talkandroid.com – Sony’s next flagship device, the Sony Xperia T, is rumored  to hit the shelves October 1st. There has been a few rumored release dates including one for later this month, so this is not set in stone quite yet. People should rightfully be excited about this new Sony phone which was shown off at  IFA 2012. It will have a 13 megapixel camera, 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm S4 processor and a 4.6″ screen. If you live in the UK, the mobile network Three announced they will be selling the Xperia T “soon”. For those in the United States, there is no official release date, but  (IT news)

We’ve already seen Sony’s Xperia SL in the wild, but today the Japanese manufacturer has finally made the elusive smartphone official. An exact release date isn’t announced, though the device is now listed on the company’s official website as “coming soon”.

Sony’s rumored next flagship, the LT29i Hayabusa, was outed in a blurrycam photo yesterday, followed by the official announcement for the Xperia GX and SX. Now another leaked image has made its way stateside from China, but this time it’s for the Sony ST26i, a rumored 4″ qHD, 1GHz device. Unlike the GX or SX, this handset keeps the capacitive buttons.

Following the company’s Xperia acro S release, Sony has announced the impending US availability of its budget-level Xperia Tipo and Xperia Tipo Dual handsets. Currently available in Europe, the smartphones both sport an 800MHz single-core Snapdragon CPU, 512MB of RAM, a 3.2-inch HVGA (480×320) display and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Sony has announced that the Xperia Go will arrive in Canada by November. The Go features a 3.5-inch display, a 1 GHz dual-core processor, a 5MP camera, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (don’t hold your breath for an upgrade to Jelly Bean). The Go is a decent low to mid range device that offers great protection and falls in that category of  ”rugged” devices.

Sony Mobile is expected to introduce the new Xperia Ion smartphone with 12.1 megapixel camera and dual core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

Sony appears to be ready to launch a new Xperia smartphone on June 22nd but is calling out to ‘Sony fans’ to help push the launch date sooner. Sony is giving people the opportunity to “fast forward” the device launch by clicking the fast forward button and liking their Facebook page.

By now we all know that the Sony Xperia GX (SO-04D), that is getting ready to release in Japan very soon, will be making an international release under the Sony LT29i model number and is codenamed, “Hayabusa”. The phone looks almost identical to the Sony Xperia GX with only a few signs that the device is different.

Sony only outed its newest trio of Xperia smartphones just over a month ago in Berlin, and AT&T has just announced that it’s already grooming the device for a U.S. launch. Oh, and in case you care, the phone will also appear on-screen as James Bond’s phone of choice in Skyfall.

We had an idea that Sony’s Xperia T would land on AT&T from the leaked image showing the AT&T logo, not to mention it hit the FCC recently. Well AT&T just announced they will carry it as the Xperia TL.
