A Vietnamese video shows the Sony Xperia TL, currently on Ice Cream Sandwich, running Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2. The video also shows a new lock screen, updated launcher, ClearAudio+ mode and an Xperia V-like Superior Auto mode on the 13MP camera.
Sony Xperia P owners can be happy to know that starting today the device will get an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update.
As a follow up to last week’s Xperia P Ice Cream Sandwich rollout, Sony Mobile today announced their 2011 Xperia line of phones will be getting new Android 4.0.4 firmware. Starting this week, the first phones to receive the update are the Xperia arc, Xperia arc S, Xperia neo, Xperia neo V, Xperia mini, Xperia pro, Xperia active and Xperia ray.
Starting August 14th, the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus will have an optional upgrade to Android 4.0.5 Ice Cream Sandwich. I say optional because the update will be through Samsung Kies and not via an OTA update.
Sony recently announced the new Xperia Miro, a 3.5-inch entry level device with a 5MP camera and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. This is a great device for people not wanting to spend a lot of money and just want a decent phone.
Late last week, UK wireless carrier O2 announced via their company blog that they had decided to not rollout an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for a trio of Sony smartphones. O2 indicated they had conducted extensive testing of ICS on the devices and determined the impact on the phones’ speed and performance would lead to a negative user experience.
