As a follow up to last week’s Xperia P Ice Cream Sandwich rollout, Sony Mobile today announced their 2011 Xperia line of phones will be getting new Android 4.0.4 firmware. We’ve already seen Sony’s Xperia SL in the wild, but today the Japanese manufacturer has finally made the elusive smartphone official. An exact release date isn’t announced, though the device is now listed on the company’s official website as “coming soon”.
Sony Xperia P owners will be happy to know that Ice Cream Sandwich should arrive between August 19th and August 25th according to Sony Mobile India. They originally estimated that it would hit in the second-half of August so it looks like everything is on schedule.
