Sony is taking orders for a 9.4-inch, Android 3.1-based & Sony Tablet S& it will release next month, and says a folding, dual 5.5-inch display & Sony Tablet P& model (with Android 3.2) will follow later this year. Both models are equipped with 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 processors, and the Sony Tablet S costs $499 with 16GB of storage or $599 with 32GB, according to the company....

It looks like we have an update to the Sony Xperia Tablet S fiasco. As stood before, all Sony mentioned is that there was approximately 100,000 tablet units that are affected by a water-resistance defect— though there was no way of confirming which tablets exactly were affected.
Sony has officially announced the Xperia Tablet S, with specs matching what we told you earlier. The sleek new tab is powered by a Tegra 3 CPU, comes with Android 4.0 and has built-in storage options up to 64GB. It has the distinctive look similar to the Tablet S, featuring the “folded-over” magazine shape, but is now made of metal and is a bit lighter.

Due to certain documents that have recently passed through the FCC, there is indication that Sony is working on a new “next-generation” tablet device. Although very little is given away, the supposed tablet will carry the model number SGPT1211. Could this be the possible successor to Sony’s Tablet S?
