Recently, Sony came out with yet another Xperia smartphone - the sony xperia. This is a PlayStation certified device, which means that it has access to some PlayStation games. The smartphone has been projected as an entertainment device by Sony, emphasizing its music/video playback, faster processor and gaming capabilities.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is a very big deal for smartphone gaming.

No it is not the NGP (Next Generation Portable), nor the PSP 2, it actually isn’t even the PlayStation Phone, but it will be a phone from Sony, capable of running PlayStation games without having your fingers get in the way.  It is the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY, and it will be available in March.

Sony has completed the Sony Ericsson buyout, and with that, changes are coming to the new Sony Mobile Communications. For example, new devices like the Xperia Ion and the Xperia S, will no longer carry the Ericsson name. The Xperia S is not supposed to be available until sometime in March, but new unboxing videos, and a leaked promo video, have surfaced for those of you waiting.

Handset maker Sony Ericsson on Tuesday announced the new Xperia X10 smartphone. It will run on the Android 1.6 mobile operating system, also known as "Donut." The Xperia X10 will begin shipping to select markets next year.
