I keep getting a message that says client-73-34-186.speedy-net.bg is trying to view or control my desktop. Can anyone tell me what is going on and what can I do about it?
I have gone to Desktop Sharing, checked the "Allow users to view and control your desktop boxes". I've tried wit with and without a password. My problem is that I can't get a windows client to access this from. TigerVNC gives me an error message "No matching security types" and TightVNC says "No security types are supported".
I'm trying very hard to remotely control my Ubuntu 12.04 Desktop from a Windows 7 Desktop. I've tried a number of solutions and they all seem to be beset with problems. I've tried looking online for solutions but so far to no avail. Here is a summary of what I have tried:-
1. vino - get a black screen.
2. x11vnc - displays the desktop OK but will not respond to any keyboard or mouse actions.
I have researched this for a few days now and am about to throw in the towel. Maybe you can help. Thank you in advance.
I have installed Ubuntu Desktop 12.04 (32 bit) and Samba and have a simple file server running that I would like to be able to control remotely from a Windows machine. But I want to be able to control it by a graphical interface - not by terminal.
The desktop view was working absolutely fine over the last year and then this week when I click the internet icon and go on the internet, desktop view which is selected freezes the screen and reverts to Samsung Home. If I untick Desktop View, there is no problem.
I'm developing an app related to image view rotation, moving and zooming. In this image view rotation and zoom is doing best. when moving image view it is moving but not control and goes to out of screen.
