In Fedora 17, I'm trying to add a batch of users from a text file using the newusers command. I created a file named users.txt, located in root's home directory.
Hi everyone,
My problem is: I have to create an user (admin maybe) with full permissions (rwx) to other users (regular users) files without using the sudo command.
The system has a crontab job (as root obviously) that will remove all permissions when necessary from files a I choose.
Some Stackoverflow trolls have closed this on me, without any indication as to why. If you feel this is off topic, please let me know why in the comments.
Had setup a user to use instead of root. Was working fine and dandy till I started playing with user settings. Now all users (apart from root) borked. Can't login (ssh) with other users, even after adding them to the admin/root group.
Although only one user (user1) logged once in F-17 (x86_64 up to date), executing poweroff defaults to the "Authentication is required for powering off the system while other users are logged in" snippet.
So like yeah. I fxz'd back to 905 stock unrooted and did the update.
Before I rooted I figured I would check the root checker in the stock recovery menu.
Guess what? It read "1/1"! For those of you that don't know, that's supposed to be this thing that alerts if the phone is or ever was rooted, and there's no known way to reset it.
Hello commando users!
While I have been making the video on how to fully root the phone, I got an idea of how to get the stock recovery for those who want to go back to full un-root. I was able to use the m130 "top->down" exploit to get the recovery img via a script called "onandroid".
I'm a beginner.
I'm trying to give my user root permissions, So I edited sudo like this:
black ALL=(ALL) ALL
"black" is my username.
But I still don't have root permissions, and when I open the terminal, it shows me:
[black@Black ~]$
Another thing. In the Administration > Users and Groups, my user (black) primary group is root.
My Linux is the latest version of CentOS.
