This is most likely caused by openbox having no compositor, which normally provides vsync, you can use compton as a compositor which gives you vsync.I don't know if compton has vsync enabled, but you can enable it if it isn't through .compton.conf in your home folder.https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Compton
I know this isn't directly answerering your question, but I had tried out netflix-desktop a while back and didn't have great luck, so I went back to vbox. However, more recently I've been using pipelight - it's been working phenomenally well and is really handy to be able to use my regular browser and have all the wine-pipelight stuff happen seemlessly behind the scenes.
