[Solved]b43 stopped working after installing compat-wireless ath9k_htc

http://crunchbanglinux.org – I bought a TP WN722N usb wireless dongle. I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 with Broadcom Wireless (b43)The broadcom was working fine.I found that I had to download compat-wireless for getting WN722N to work, from:http://wireless.kernel.org/download/com … eless-2.6/I proceed to uncompress and on the compat-wireless directory I did./scripts/driver-select ath9k_htc (I tried with ath9k too, don't remember well now) make sudo make install sudo make unloadAnd got my dongle working, unfortunately now I can't modprobe b43, I get the following error:>sudo modprobe b43 FATAL: Error insertin (HowTos)

We are finding it difficult to make the wireless work in my friend's laptop. It is a Dell Inspiron. Running on Ubuntu 12.04 with 3.2.0-30-generic kernel.

I'm having trouble getting my wireless to work. Here's my computers' info.

Dell Inspiron B130 Pentium M processor a BCM4319 (AirForce One 54g) 802.11g Wireless LAN Controller

Trying to compile the compat-wireless-2012-09-25 driver module, without success.

make ; fails - scripts/Makefile.build:44 ~/sourcecode/compat-wireless-2012-09-25.2/drivers/net/ethernet/atheros/alx/Makefile: No such file or directory

I have a new TP-link TL-WN721N usb adapter (picked up for essentially free) and wanted to try it out. It uses the ath9k_htc driver and ar9271 firmware.
