I solved this one but decided to post the solution if anyone else has the same problem. In the end I replaced the nouveau driver with the old nv driver and solved the problem.nouveau version 1.0.4-1slim version 1.3.4-4I played for hours with different fonts, sizes, dpi settings to no avail. The nouveau driver (or slim) has a problem displaying fonts.
LOL PS: I was switch to Nouveau driver and anything... worked fine. But i like nVidia driver. Hope the new will fix this bugs.

So if you use grub-efi, you may want to work your way over to grub-bios. Otherwise, you will have to use the nouveau driver. I do not have enough information on your
I followed those instructions setting up my new laptop with Nvidia Optimus and never ran into an issue with anything ever wanting a nouveau driver. At any point in your installation do you install nouvea? You never need to do that as far as I know. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I have used the CKKernel with nvidia-ck driver before. So I installed nvidia-ck-kx and nvidia-utils to replace libgl with it.
