I have installed ubuntu 12.04 in acer aspire one D270 laptop. wi fi is not working , How to install the wi fi driver for ubuntu 12.04 for this laptop. Please help me ....

I've just installed the x64 Desktop edition of 12.04 on my Acer Aspire V3 571G. The wireless does connect, though it can take a while. The problem is the wireless only stays connected for 45 minutes max. before it drops out, and then it continually 'reconnects' (never actually connecting to the network) until I either switch between a few networks or turn wireless off and on again.

Hi! I installed Ubuntu 10.10 on my Acer Aspire One D257 and it can't detect wireless (the indicator and FN+F3 aren't working).

The same problem is in Ubuntu 10.04

I hve an Acer aspire one laptop. it has a wireless connection built in. it was bought in dec 2008. it has windows xp. It has always been able to use our Belkin router to get to the internet.

a few weeks ago, the router stopped working. it has a red light to show it is not connected to the internet. nothing could get to the web, not the desktop (with windows 7), no iphones, nothing.

Well I'm about to install ubuntu 12.04 on my laptop, which is an acer aspire. I would like to know if is there any incompatibility? I installed this version (12.04) on an acer aspire and had several troubles with the hardware drivers. I'll apreciate any help. Thanks.

I would be interested to know if anyone has installed Ubuntu on Acer Aspire L320. I am trying to install Ubuntu 12.04 on this PC but the installation stalls. The error seems to be with the wireless modem. It asks me to go to website 'https://wireless.kernel.org' site and download the correct firmware.

Just now started working with crunchbang and am attempting to establish a wirless connection with my home router. its a netgear wgr614v10.Having no issue with wired connection, but cant manage to get the wireless to work. Ive got the SSID, MAC, MTU set to auto, wpa/wpa2 pass set up to what it is, ipv4 is being ignored.... nothing.
