[SOLVED] Wiping a disk with EFI, not MBR

http://www.linuxquestions.org – I had never run into an EFI partitioned disk before my friend asked me to wipe his. I knew about them in name, but nothing else really. Anyway, despite fdisk not being able to interpret an EFI disk (it shows only /dev/sda1, which is incorrect), would the following command still work to wipe it? dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda bs=8128 That is my normal way of wiping a disk. AFAIK, it should work fine no matter what partitioning scheme is used on the disk, since dd doesn't care about partitions and such. But I'm asking to make sure. I ask, because my friend reported that on his 1Tb disk, it w (HowTos)
