Is it possible to issue WHOIS requests via my local machine over a port other than 43 to a remote box to execute? Ideally, I'm using Jsch and I'd like to be able to round-robin these requests. I've looked in /etc/services, didn't learn much.
states that it updates whois changes daily when in fact it does not at all, tried to contact the owner in every possible way and no answer.I have clients who have domains listed in this website and about a month ago their domains info got updated,in whois it's all updated but in this website nothing changed.
Unable to figure out the problem with whois command. Whenever i give any query to whois command it gives timeout error. I also learned about jwhois command but it seems it is also getting similar problem. I am searching for this but not find anything useful. These are the error given while running the command and i also run whois on many other domain but no success. Please help!
I am trying to check the whois details for a site uq.oz.au and not able to find any data. I have tried multiple whois engines. Could someone let me know why this is the case? Shouldn't registration information for the domain be public domain?
Note I have also checked http://whois.ausregistry.com.au but this also states that there is no data.
