I read this thread, but found no solution in it (I did not try patching the kernel, however, as I have read that the sentelic fsp driver is already there). I have basic functionality, tap to click, and can manipulate the cursor, but have no scrolling ability, nor middle click. I installed the fspc utility from AUR, and it works as far as manipulating the values found in /sys/devices/pl
I'm using Dell V3446 since this month. It came with a Ubuntu 12.04 pre-installed. Initially the trackpad was working and two finger scroll was also working. I have recently upgraded my system to 14.04. The trackpad works but it cannot detect two fingers and two finger scroll is not working.
I'm sure two-finger scroll in activated (Using Unity-Tweak-Tool, I have checked it).
I have a Sentelic clickpad (no pysical buttons, i.e. macbook style). It uses synclient. I have upgraded to kernel 3.5.4-030504-generic on Ubuntu 12.04. Side or two-finger scrolling works. What doesn't work is clicking with one finger and a motion action with another finger, like clicking a window and dragging as one would commonly do on a touchpad.
This used to be an old issue, solved for quite a while. Sony Vaio VPZ laptops have dual graphics cards, intel and nvidia. Kernels solved this issue long ago. But now I have troubles again (actually, X is not working). I suspect the culprit is a new NOUVEAU driver. F18 kernel 3.9.9 works fine, but F19 same kernel is unable to start X.
it was installed through wired network card in the laptop kernel 3.14 by commands above but iwlwifi driver was for 3.13+ , because on iwlwifi web site is wrote that the driver for kernel 3.14+ needs a patch.the wireless card is on, network manager sees all SSIDs and connects to them, so the problem is solved.
