Well for all intents and purposes, a kernel downgrade to 3.2.9-1 and a downgrade to nvidia drivers (and utils) to version 295-33 worked.Marking as solved.

Did you get the message from pacman when upgrading:libgl and nvidia-utils are in conflictWhen choosing to upgrade, pacman ask if you want to remove nvidia-utils. What did you answer? What is the result of this command?#pacman -Q | grep nvidia

Since using the main kernel package (actually, linux 3.0.0 from Testing) and nvidia drivers (also from Testing) gave the same issues, I tried without Xorg.conf, and it turns out one of the nVidia-specific options was the culprit. Commenting it out fixed it.

The root filesystem was run out of space: deleted some files, upgraded to latest KDE packages and re-logged in. Works just fine. Duh!

http://us.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/L … 302.17.runhttp://us.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/L … 302.17.runEDIT/ I noticed this for myself when making my own 302.17 packages 30 mins before Ioni released his! Not sure a bug report is worth it as they will be uploaded to ftp server on Monday.

Really appreciate the help guys. Removing the nouveau driver and re configuring the nvidia driver fixed the issue. I'm marking it as solved.

slopjong wrote:Btw. certain use cases require to have both installed e.g. trying to fix an issue with the nvidia driver. And vesa wouldn't work for that? Raise a bug if you feel this is really required, but it would require quite a bit of symlink hackery to have both nouveau and nvidia installed and usable on the same system, last I checked.
# pacman -Rdd nvidia-utils
# pacman -U ./nvidia-utils-custom-304.22-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xzthen install nvidia too.

Ok guys it was indefinetly a driver issue and is now solved, it was either the nvidia driver or the kernel but at any rate it's now fixed. And oh, Nvidia picked up all 3 monitors!
