I know there are a lot of posts wanting to remove / delete kwallet.I am trying to undo my blunder of setting a password, I installed kwalletmanager and it does not have anything I can change, so I was wondering if I deleted the kwallet.kwl file, would it ask me to set a password again so it can be set to a blank password or is there something searching the forums and google for the past four hours
I was starting to like Kmail and Kontact when Kwallet went wonky on me. I tried what a poster on this forum suggested and deleted the wallet, but Kwallet won't create a new one. When I ask to do so it requests a new password and I enter it twice, but no new wallet is created.
I just spent the last few hours with David Edmunson debugging why when I tried to connect to jabber with the correct password it would tell me the password was wrong. It turns out that it all came down to kwallet not being installed (and having a wallet open).Given I just installed Telepathy and all the ktp packages, and pacman didn't pull kwallet in, I thought I should mention it.
That would appear to be the case. I will continue to experiment. Thank you for marking it Solved. I was debating giving it another day or two. I've since installed on my netbook and setting a password in kwallet has also worked.
No, the reason is that it keeps opening and reopening in the background. If you have another kwallet using application running it won't do that. Try running kmail for Firefox with the kwallet addon while you try again.
