So my hp laptop has a railink wireless card in it and i have tried a lot of distros but only crunch bang properly detects my wifi card, Why is that? Is there something special crunch bang does at boot that the other distros do not do?
I have installed Crunch Bang a couple of months ago. I have lately realized that internet in Crunch bang is damn slow compared to windows. I mean this is not the behavior right from the installation, initially it was awesome.
Since I am a beginner to linux, I think I might have done something. Not sure.
I don't want to reinstall Crunch bang for this reason.
Hey. I just installed the latest crunch bang. I am having a ton of fun playing around configuring it. Very nice work. I like how it is minimal yet fully functional. I will probably make the move to crunch bang on my desktop in a couple weeks.
Since startup sound is just discussed elsewhere ...... create your own one! What I want to say is this: make CRUNCH! BANG! audible! Here my instant first attempt with the mobile: http://1gang.de/crunchbang.wavm:)

I am borrowing a laptop right now, long story short..I re-installed crunch bang on my PC this time around I let it install grub on my main harddrive in the MBR where windows xp is located.I tried deleting the grub.cfg in the 2nd harddrive on the crunchbang install. Now my grub wont even do nothing anymore. I deleted my 2nd harddrive and still have the same exact problems.
