https://bbs.archlinux.org – Thank you Jelly It was a .part file. I was using aria2 to download prior to switching to the new pacman.conf. There was only one offending file. I would have thought that pacman would at least tell you which file was corrupted when it found one or even not recognize .part files as complete packages. Anyway, I deleted the .part file everything went smoothly.Here is the complete output of pacman -Syyu --debug... just for reference.debug: parseconfig: options pass debug: config: attempting to read file /etc/pacman.conf debug: config: finish section '(null)' debug: config: new section & (HowTos)

Yumex fails to run properly anymore any idea's for a fix?

I hadn't upgraded in awhile due to internet download limitations.  I go to upgrade today and there were 120 packages to upgrade.  Couldn't get anywhere.  Kept getting: "error: failed to commit transaction (invalid or corrupted package)"Google to the rescue...https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/29585[root@(none) ~]# cd /var/cache/pacman/pkg [root@(none) pkg]# ls *.par

Until last week i had a working bumblee/nvidia set up.

Now, when i do

I am trying to run a molecular visualization software (UCSF Chimera), it opens the main window and after 2 seconds it crashes with the following error messages:

I never install outside of pacman, but in that case I thought, as gem its part of ruby, that pacman would delete gem and, consequently, gem would delete what he aparently installed, being recursively, if that can be said so.
