[SOLVED] External Hard Drive mounting

http://ubuntuforums.org – Ok i am new to Ubuntu 12.04 , just transfered from windows , i have been trying many posts and following wtv they have posted but i am still unable to mount my external hard drive . Using disk utility , when i try to mount i get the following error - Error mounting: mount exited with exit code 1: helper failed with: mount: only root can mount /dev/sdb1 on /home/hdd This is what I get for sudo fdisk -l Disk /dev/sda: 320.1 GB, 320072933376 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 38913 cylinders, total 625142448 sectors Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 by (Hardware)
