I installed oracle for a bit because I thought I was having trouble with openjdk, after a bit of testing it turned out it wasn't openjdk so I switched back and un installed oracle but when I didit still left over the oracle console oracle, visualVM and two other oracle java related links I was just wonder how you get rid of these as well and what I did wrong.
As discussed elsewhere, I have uploaded an 'oracle-java7-installer' package to the repository. I have tested it on my own system and it seems to work okay. I had an issue with Minecraft, but it was well documented elsewhere, so no real problem. Anyhow, the package is now available, so if anyone wishes to test it, please feel free.oink! oink!P.S.
I am currently having issues completely removing Oracle's Java 7 and replacing it with the original OpenJDK Java, any help would be appreciated, here is what it is showing when attempting to purge oracle-java7*
drakal@Drakal-Ubuntu:~$ sudo apt-get purge oracle-java7*

It says that "sudo yum install gstreamer-plugins bad;sudo yum install gstreamer-plugins-ugly is an ivalid command, so I copy/pase it into the terminal, and lo and behold, it works.
