Hello, I'm using fedora 18; I created a new keyboard layout for friulian language ( a modified italian version of keyboard )
I created fur file in /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols

Hello #!
Recently installed #1 Statler and so far I welcome the upgrade. But I had a similar problem with my keyboard setup asexperienced by everyone else that I thought I'd solved as per instructions found on the forum: my keyboard defaultedto GB after install and I couldn't get the switcher to stick. I'm trying to set up a keyboard layout; I found the fonts I need and a keyboard layout package on Synaptic. However, all the help I've really found so far in looking through various threads is for Chinese, Japanese, etc. I'm trying to set up Burmese. So I don't know if something needs to be done differently because of the different language / layout, or if I&#
Is there a way to remap the AltGr key to Ctrl with setxkbmap?
I've already checked the option section in
"/usr/share/X11/xkb/rules/base.lst" but I didn't find an entry for
AltGr...
I also tried xmodmap, however some xmodmap entries on my /.xsesssionrc
seem to be ignored at system startup,
and they don't take effect.
I have a custom X11 keyboard layout that I can use with setxkbmap. But after some searching I've found that apparently just having the XKB layout file isn't enough to set it as a new keyboard layout in KDE 4. What I would like to have my custom layout be recognized by the KDE system so that I can choose it using the systray applet, or install it as the default using the System Settings module.
Is there a GUI in Unity where I can set my keyboard type?
I was following this article.
Hi
I have an expression that returns 1 if a text is found and 0 if its not found.
I need it the other way around. 0 of found and 1 if its not found
Code:
echo $((`cat /var/log/system1/output.html | grep aligment | head -n1 | wc -l`))
Is this possible without doing an if/then/else, just with math (bolean) in same line?
Edit
"grep -q" worked great
