http://ubuntuforums.org – hey guys i ran into a small problem i downloaded the proper print and scan drivers for my printer and installed them using terminal i can now scan documents by typing scangearmp into the terminal and i can print too. the problem is that when i print a document my printer will keep the printing the same document over and over again it seems like there is a never ending print job going on any ideas how to fix this please ? How I fixed this problem: in order to fix this problem from my research done is first check the printer settings and look for a parameter copies and make sure it is set to 1 (Hardware)

i got this problem with my printer, but it seems really a problem a lot of people are having.

i have ubuntu 10.04, and run on an parrallel port a hp 6l. the printer was found but could not print, the printing documents were pending and then disseappered.

Now i have connected a hp laserjet 8100 DN on the parrallel port.

I have a fresh install of Mythbuntu 12.04.01 I download and installed the Canon drivers from the Canon website: UFR II Printer Driver for Linux Version 2.50 I used the procedure at this location: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php...78&postcount=8

When I print documents, I see them show up in the print queue.

How can I configure a printer to print wirelessly in ubuntu 12.04 ?

I have a canon pixma mg 5300 series, and I am able to print correctly by usb (the drivers were installed). Now I'm trying to do it wirelessly.

I configured the printer so that it connects to my access point, and assigned it a static IP (192.168.0.6). It connects correctly, and responds to ping.

Toshiba Laptop L350-S5933, Intel Pentium Dual CPU T3400 @2.16 GHz, Ram 3.o GB, ACPI x86 32 bit OpSys, Canon MP560, Dual Boot installed Karmic (Vista other OS), Canon is logged into wireless network using Actiontec.

Ubuntu shows the printer as the default printer. Listed as Make & Model: Canon Pixma MP500 - cups+ Gutenprint v5.4

evince not print pdf document 3 years 44 weeks ago

i have gotten a pdf document on a CD which i need to print out. a program called evince is the default document viewer that came with my installation of fedora. it displays the document on the monitor just fine, all 152 pages of it.

I have a canon pixma mg5300 series printer/scanner. I am able to print with it, after I successfully added the driver (if I remember correctly, I had to install it from the constructor, though I'm not sure, it was quite some time ago). However, I don't know how to use the scanner. I tried typing 'scan' in the dash, and a application named 'simple scan' appeared.

I have a Canon Pixma MP150. It's old but it still works well. The problem is that since I have been running Ubuntu the printer exhibits odd behavoir. Usually right at the end of a job, it will stop. The printing is done, but the printer is still "working" and it won't release the paper.
