My dash is completely empty. The alt-f2 run screen load applications if I type in the commands. But the others are completely empty on my own profile. In a guest profile, they work as expected.
I've read the other similar questions and tried both of these options.
I've been using Ubuntu for about a year now and never knew what a Unity lens was until a couple days ago (yup, that's how much I pay attention). I expect new lenses are coming out all the time and I wanted to start a thread that would keep people informed of new lenses as they are being released. Post your favorite lens and the installation method.
I'm having trouble with getting access to Youtube's content via the Unity lens. I thought it was my computer's proxy problem in general, however Wikipedia and Ask Ubuntu lenses both are able to connect.
Youtube lens shows the general "sorry there is nothing that matches your search" message. Any one experienced this before?
I installed the 12.04 beta today. So far so (very) good. I've been reading a few articles online about the new features. One of them is the videos lens. When I look at screenshots of this feature, there are several video sources listed. When I look at the video lens, however, the only place I seem to be able to search is "My Videos."
Do I have to enable other sources or something?
I'm new to Ubuntu and am interested in getting some different lenses but no matter what lens I try (Rotten Tomatoes, calculator, cities scope, etc) I can't get any of them to work.
