I had this same problem.. so I backed up my latest " *.json" bookmarks,made sure I wrote down all the passwords I saved in firefox, and then closed firefox.I then "rm -rf ~/.mozilla" and restarted firefox.Seemed to solve the issue for me.

I didn't try the virtual desktop idea yet.What I did do is when the upgrade didn't work I removed the .wine folder, and removed the wine program, and tried again with a fresh install.Same issue. (I used winetricks to get the dx3d, tacoma font, and set the other settings as describe on WineHQ App)I will try later tomorrow to use the virtual desktop idea and let you know. In th
