Strange problem I have never encountered. I changed the boot order on the Acer's BIOS, put the USB at the top so it boots first from the USB. Turn on the machine with the USB inserted, it gives the usual list of options: Run Ubuntu from USB, Install Ubuntu, etc.
I select the first one, Run Ubuntu from USB, and nothing happens. Zilch. Blank black screen.
I have an ACER ASPIRE 4743G with dual boot Windows 7 and Ubuntu 13.10, Just installed the Ubuntu although it shuts down without notice.
I tried narrowing the reason, I checked the temperature of processors and drives and its way up 71-75. And Also the the laptop gets very hot.
Now any suggestions on how to solve the problem? I want to know what is causing it?

I've bought Acer aspire e1-522 with limpus linux installed. I didn't want to use it, but i can't install any other OS. I already tried booting windows 7 and 8.1 from DVD and Ubuntu from USB, but nothing happens. Please, can someone tell me how to get this linpus out and install any OS thats actually useful.
Well I'm about to install ubuntu 12.04 on my laptop, which is an acer aspire. I would like to know if is there any incompatibility? I installed this version (12.04) on an acer aspire and had several troubles with the hardware drivers.
