This is something that's bothered me since upgrading to 4.1.1. Doing just what the title says. So far, I've tried clearing the dalvik cache, wiping the cache partition, uninstalling titanium backup and restarting, as well as uninstalling ROM toolbox and lucky patcher. I'm rooted with chainfire's "quick" method but I also had root before upgrading from ICS.
Yesterday,I updated my gs3 to 4.1.2 using kies.I was rooted with chainfire's exynosabuse.apk but before I upgrade,I unrooted. Now, everytime I reboot I get the "android is upgrading" message. After searching for a while,it turned out that the system wipes dalvik cache on every boot but why is it happening ?
The main screen in ClockworkMod Recovery has the option "wipe cache partition". The "advanced" menu has "Wipe Dalvik Cache". Are these distinct options that clear separate areas or does "wipe cache partition" also wipe the Dalvik cache?
Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere -- point me to the post.
