Apple has just released a new app that brings their online store into the palm of your hand. Given the self evident name Apple Store, the new app delivers much of what makes the Apple Store such a success.

Mike Beltzner, Mozilla big-wig and Director of Firefox, has just tweeted his rather damning appraisal of the new Mac App Store. In the tweet he points to the Mac App Store Review Guidelines -- and boy are they draconian, even by Apple's cultish masonic standards.
Basically, you can forget about downloading any kind of demo or beta from the Mac App Store.
In fall 2012, a mysterious eBay store appeared that only sold Apple products at prices that undercut Apple’s own online refurbished store. The store was widely speculated to have been run by Apple, despite the company never confirming its involvement.
HTC has, in a manner of speaking, opened a store in Hamburg, Germany. It’s not a stand alone store like a Microsoft or Apple store. It’s more of a store within a store with specially trained staff and displays. The layout is similar to the Apple section inside most Best Buy locations in the US.
Apple’s online store went offline on Thursday evening — sporting the usual “We’ll be back. We’re busy updating the Apple Store for you and will be back soon” missive (h/t to AllThingsD which spotted the store was AWOL).
Presumably designed long ago to sneakily land smack-bang on the day that the CES show in Las Vegas starts in earnest, Apple’s “Mac App Store” has finally and officially opened at last, beating Microsoft to any PC App Store punch and set to make Apple a whole lotta extra moolah, no longer just on every sale of hardware, but now on the sale of any and all software through the Mac App Store, too!
I was just at apple store yesterday and for what I know it's at least $440 out of the Apple store for the exact same thing... Don't know what ppl are thinking buying stuff at the Apple Store without even checking deals on the net :D
Apple has just updated a section in iTunes Connect, the service mobile developers use to distribute and update their applications on the iTunes App Store, with new language that details how the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) can and cannot be used, and asks for developers' compliance with these rules by checking a box.
