Well I just got the VM 4G a few days ago, and I transfered my apps and data from my triumph with tb. I use gosms pro, and for some reason my texts dont que the notification sound to go off, even though i have the sound set up in phone settings and gosms settings. The notification sound does however work for some other notifications that go off.
I'm having a couple problems with the email program. First of all the counter (in the folder selection box) that shows how many unread messages I have shows -1 (minus one) instead of 0 when I have no unread messages. It's no big deal but it's a bit annoying.
I have had intermittent problems with receiving texts and calls since day one of getting my first Android device from AT&T over a year ago. About every few weeks or so, text messages I receive will be delayed by 4+ hours from when the sender sent them until suddenly my phone alerts me to a ton of messages all at the same time.
For the last couple of days I've been having this weird problem receiving texts. I'll RECEIVE the text, but I won't get any type of notification UNTIL I open up the "Messages" screen.
I only recently got my first smartphone, still busy setting preferences etcetera...
I managed to set a doorbell sound for notifications of SMS or whatsapp messages. That's great.
But tonight I was woken up by that stupid doorbell. When I looked in the morning, there was no message.
So I guess other notifications generate this tone, too.
After noticing that I had waaaay too many texts in my inbox today, I went through and deleted most of the threads hoping to clear up some space. I received a message from one of those people I was deleting messages from while the texts were erasing.
This started around 2 months ago and I've noticed it is getting progressively worse! I would get a text message and everything would work fine. My phone's notification tone would go off and my phone would vibrate. When i unlock my screen it would show a preview of the message. But what's becoming more common on my phone is that when i now get a text message nothing happens.
Hi, I have over 3,000 text messages on my phone, and I need a decently quickly way to delete them. I've seen a few other posts on here about this topic, but everything everyone has said isn't working for my phone. I've tried downloading the SMS Backup & Restore app; it was working fine while backing up my text messages, but now I'm trying to delete them all, and it is taking FOREVER.

About a month ago I changed my text message tone from one that I had created myself to a stock one that came with the One S.
I have gone to the settings -> Personalize -> Sound
But I think that I'm doing something right.
