I am having issues at school with the SMART Boards. We use them at school but Fedora doesn't wanna work with it. I know when I had Windblows on my computer I had the same issue, It flat out didn't wanna work. But that's given cuz on Windblows everything needs a driver. But I expect more out of Linux. Does it have something to do with X? Does X need some kinda driver?

I have a problem with Elantech Smart Pad under F12 on ASUS N61 notebook. I could not find the driver, and it is not possible to set sensitivity or to turn it off. It is quite annoying...
Does anybody knows how to turn it off, or configure it?

I got two 2TB seagate disks that show SMART error on bootup. I ran the seagate disk utility check and it passed the full test. But the SMART error says both drive have exceeded 70C in temperature so SMART has been tripped. I want to recycle them for old hardware as they are out of warranty.

I am trying to dual boot Lubuntu on my new Dell 15R SE along with Windows 7. It has a 32GB cache drive that uses Intel Smart Response Technology. I managed to partition the drive using GParted on a live usb drive. Windows 7 is installed and I have Intel Smart Response Technology set up. For Intel Smart Response Technology to work it needs a RAID drive.
I have 12.04 32bit installed on my hard drive. Ubuntu is the only OS. I recently installed it after getting rid of Windows 7. When I run Disk Utility under SMART Status it says "disk has a few bad sectors", so I clicked on View SMART data and run self tests.
