I've been using gedit 2.30.4 to edit my C/C++ source code and want to change the syntax highlighting scheme. Is there a configuration file somewhere that I can modify to change the current settings ( I'd like to change the color of comment blocks , preprocessor commands , etc. ). Thanks for any information.
I should really like to have my ssh sessions do syntax highlighting of configurations et al. of the output from my devices. I currently do it in iTerm 2, but it is both clumsy, slow and worst of all, non-portable.
Does anyone know of a better solution, like setting up ssh to have syntax highlighting rendered from a local settings file?
I just created a new .lang file for syntax highlighting in gedit (following instructions here). Everyting worked, except that the system seems to think that the file is a TeX file, not an XML file like the rest of the .lang files. As a result, gedit doesn't seem to recognize the new file, so I can't use the syntax highlighting rules.
