Sometimes i encounter, my system not shut down. now is one of that times - i go "start" -> "leave" ->"shutdown", and nothing appear. in normal case there appear a "shutdown" window, where i choose - shut down or restart. but now it not appear, and as so i cannot shutdown system normally.
to reboot/shut down. The entire shutdown procedure takes about 1-2 seconds. But after every boot Firefox says it was shut down prematurely, very likely indicating that it was brutally murdered rather than laid to rest.
on both host and guest running CentOS 6.3 with KVM/Qemu virtualization, I have the following scenarios:
"virsh shutdown kvm1" did not shutdown at all. virsh lists guest as running.
"service libvirt-guests stop" did not shutdown in 280 seconds (shutdown_timeout=300. on_shutdown=shutdown)
"shutdown now" from within guest, guest becomes unreachable.
I'm not sure when or how this started happening, but if I try to shutdown or reboot by any means - from settings, right-click from start, or command prompt shutdown -s - it does nothing. I click and it does nothing. When I run shutdown -s, it just hangs and also does nothing. I can log off, THEN shut down, but nothing from the desktop itself.
Hi, I updated from F19 to F20 ( 64 bit) witn FedUp and I'm using gnome 3.10.2.
I noticed that when I try to reboot or shutdown the system using the gnome button, it is not perform fast as with F19 but it takes 3 or 4 seconds doing, apparently anything, because during this time I can still use my desktop.
I also tried to reboot from command line, using ~$ reboot, but I don't obtain any errors.
