I have a bash shutdown script that takes 2-7 minutes to complete. I want this script to run at every system reboot and shutdown, and for shutdown to wait until it is finished before continuing with reboot or halt.
How can I do this?

Sometimes i encounter, my system not shut down. now is one of that times - i go "start" -> "leave" ->"shutdown", and nothing appear. in normal case there appear a "shutdown" window, where i choose - shut down or restart. but now it not appear, and as so i cannot shutdown system normally.
