I originally started with a 256MB Slice, but recently upgraded to a 512MB Slice. 256MB of memory is, unfortunately, not quite enough to run a lamp server without turning off all unused or unnecessary services (which you should do anyway) and reconfiguring Apache, PHP and MySQL to run with less than optimal resources. I logged into my slicehost account manager today and noticed that the monthly bandwidth quota for my slice had gone up from 200GB to 300GB since the last time I'd log (General)

I'm pretty sure I have the config on the Slicehost side OK, but I'm less confident of the GoDaddy side.

I am now hosting at Dreamhost VPS and everything is always down, can you tell me if things would be better with a cloud at Linode, Rackspace or any other ? What is the cheapest and best service for you ? Also I would like a server that is managed, as I am not an expert...

Hello Guys, I need a little help here. I have been studying crash dump and per what I am reading, you can dedicate a slice to use as a dump device. Now when you dedicate this slice, do you have to :

1) create a mount point? 2) add entry in /etc/vfstab? 3) is this slice wu or wm? 4) should it mount at boot? 5) should it be fsck?

I really appreciate your help guys.
