Hey there !
Whenever the screen of my phone gets to sleep, it cuts the wifi. I may have set this myself as I'm new to cyanogen7, but I can't find where this damn option is !! Please help :)
After the JB update, my wifi has been staying on during sleep. My settings are to sleep after 5 minutes of inactivity and for wifi to never be on during sleep. I also tried changing the setting to have wifi on only when plugged in and neither seemed to work.
Has anyone else experienced this after their JB update?
Do I keep this on ?turn it off ?How am I saving battery when the phone switches to data when it goes to sleep ? Is it going to save me battery if i have wifi turned off on the phone because Im not at home and it sits in my pocket ? I know it sounds stupid but hear me out .
Wonderingnwhat you guys think about the "wifi during sleep" setting and which option to check as far as battery life is concerned. You can find multiple settings online some saying wifi off during sleep and some saying on during sleep. What yas think?
On a Tesco Hudl, android 2.2.2 I have WiFi set to Keep WiFi turned on during sleep only when plugged in (or have selected turn WiFi off during sleep). Problem is that system then does not see ANY WiFi when it wakes up.
So I'm currently running Xenon 1.5 (4.2.1) paired with Lean Kernel 5.6, but this is an issues I've had on all 4.2.1 ROMs that I've tried. It seems as though my phone doesn't want to stay connected to WiFi even though it has a strong connection.
Do you have wifi set to stay on or off during sleep? I notice it takes a good few seconds to reconnect to wifi upon wake. Does data also stay on while the phone is asleep? In that case will keeping wifi on during sleep save more battery compared to just data alone? Thoughts?
I have a LG Optimus G for about a year, it has andriod 4.1.2 (jelly bean). Recently the Wi-Fi shuts off automatically when ever the phone goes to sleep mode or after several minutes of use. I checked the "advance options" in the Wi-Fi menu and the option "save wifi connection during sleep" is set to "always".
