I have a long running problem with my windows management.
Here is what's happening:
- I connect an USB stick or hard disk to my USB
- I click "open with file manager" in the removable devices dialog
- My file manager window (konqueror) that was already open and in the foreground is pushed back below all other windows.
I like using kopete, but I want to use it in GNOME. When doing so, I have 2 problems:
1) When I login to my computer, kopete starts up, and kde wallet asks fro my password for the wallet, in order for kopete to login to my accounts. This is very annoying. I find it inefficient to have to enter my password twice when turning on my computer.
I have a Fedora 17 installation. I upgraded KDE to 4.9 from KDE repository. I am trying to install kopete but kopete's version is 4.8.5 and it needs kdenetwork-common but complains that kdenetwork-common is version 4.9. How can i get it installed without downgrading to KDE 4.8?
I did a recent yum update and now there is a slight problem. Kopete is notifying OK, but I have no idea what it's notification is about. Perhaps the attached screenshot might be of help. What could the "problem" be please?
Having been frustrated by the existing now-playing scripts, I wrote this one for myself. Tested on Amarok 2.2 and Kopete 0.80., feel free to extend it to Pidgin (note attached, I dont use pidgin so I cannot test it yet).
A downloadable tar installer script is also available.
