HelloFirstly I am new to linux so be very gentle with me! :) I have crunchbang lite 9.04.01 installed on an old laptop and I am very pleased with it.
Hi, I'm currently running 9.04 on my Dell inspiron 8500 and everything worked out of the box. But when I tried 9.10 from a USB stick I did not get the wifi (even the diodes on the 3COM card did not light up, although ubuntu detected the hardware).
Any suggestions ?

Hi Guys,
I have an old PC that I need to use to do work on. It has some decent specs (P4 with 1GB RAM). The thing is after a few minutes or a few hours after boot, the machine completely locks up. I have a feeling it has something to d with the video, but I'm not sure as I don't know where to go to check the logs.
Hi,
I have a big problem with my new laptop:
Neither WLAN nor LAN device is detected.
How do I get drivers installed without internet access?
lspci output:

I've been struggling with some issues.
Hello.
For some reason, everytime I try to shutdown/reboot, it gets to the screen where it has the green/bold status messages on the side, but then it simply stops.
The cursor doesn't blink, nothing happens...you could wait 10 minutes, and it would still be at that same screen.
