http://forums.fedoraforum.org – Background: Have elderly box running F17 (xfce spin) with plans to eventually convert it to a standalone jukebox. Linux jukebox themed software sadly limited (Not music managers, but Juke style interface) but found SKG Jukebox which is written in C++ using QT toolkit Latest version downloaded as RPM (ver 0.85-1) released aprox 1 yr ago. Actions: Attempted install with yum localinstall Results Yum returns following errors Quote: Marking skg-jukebox-0.85-1.i386.rpm to be installed Resolving Dependencies --> Running transaction check ---> Package (HowTos)

Just found #! while distro surfing looking for a workable distro for a new project (see http://crunchbanglinux.org/forums/topic/22058/is-the/ Wondering if anyone has successfully installed / used SKG-jukebox on #! Having a few issues, and pckg has not been updated or discussed recently in my searches. Chkd with the author, waiting to hear back, but meanwhile thought I would question here.

so i have been having problems gettin files written to audio players. first it was an ipod. I tried all the apps... no luck... i tried rockbox and it said it couldn't detect an ipod even though the computer did. it was mounted in my home/dev/sdb/...

I've tried firefly (has problems), subsonic (doesn't work & way too complicated to set up), but I'm looking for a way to share my music locally (at home) using DAAP that iTUNES can see.

Is this possible in Ubuntu Linux?

I've been having problems with firefox3.5 for the last month (it freezes my pc). The problem was fixed by removing firefox with yum and using the firefox3.0.11 tar.bz2 file from getfirefox.com
