I'm sure this has been asked and apologize for the noobish question. But why did xda split the forums into the two sections Android development and original android development?
And why doesn't the original android development section show up in tapatalk?
Why are there two threads for One X Android development, the one is called One X Android Development, and the other one is One X Original Android Development. Are there two versions of the same phone or what. I'm just asking because i don't want to make a mistake when I'm gonna flash it. Thanks to all for replying this. :)
I am not a big fan of the current separation of Android Development vs Original Android Development. In my opinion we are doing a disservice to the community by splitting the development forums. As a developer, I am not concerned with the status of my own mods or roms.
Hi guys!
Maybe it's a noob question, but....
Can someone explain me what is the difference between HTC ONE X ANDROID DEVELOPMENT and HTC ONE X ORIGINAL ANDROID DEVELOPMENT section?
THANKS
As we know
There 2 sections
Android Development and
Original Android Development in S3 forum
Can't figure out what's different.
First I thought one is for AOSP /CM, other is for stock based ROM but I saw both AOSP/CM and stock based RON in both sections, so I really don't understand what's different about them...

I'm a die hard fan for cmd line tools and emacs. It's nothing personal with Eclipse. my system is a bit slow. so I prefer emacs for android development. Specifically, OpenCV application for android in emacs. I'm using Ubuntu 12.04. I have installed, OpenCV libraries. What else should I install for android development. Is Ant and Android SDK&NDK is enough??? focus on emacs. thanx in advance.
Ok friends, I'm a C# WPF .net developer and have been working pretty much exclusively with UI development in one language or another for the last 15 years. The last 7 have been with C# and I have to admit that I am spoiled.
So, the question is: How do I get started, and what tools are best to use? I see that MonoTouch is out there, but it looks like it is now called Xamarin.
