I am interested in finding out a way to pass parameters that are entered at the prompt from HP unix and passed to SQLPlus code with a Shell Script. Is this possible?
Need help for writing shell script for executing oracle procedure.
shell script need to take 3 parameters from one data file rest of the parameters need to pass in command line it self.
Total 7 parameters are need to pass for shell script.1st,3rd,5th parameters need to take from dat file and rest of 4 parameters from command line.
facing an issue while calling sqlplus inside shell script. It for some reason goes to tmp file to write something and i get error as permission denied as i dont have access there.
ANy idea why sqlplus writes in /tmp and how to change or stop this ?

That said, I have a script that gives hourly usage statistics for our email server. It runs w-a-y to slow as a script for my impatience, and needs to be converted to C. That and some Windows admins have expressed interest in it.

I have no answer after that.
