I am using Fedora 14 right now and find some software in the fc14 repository is a little old.
I need some software in my machine to be updated, say, to the Fedora 19 version.
Without upgrading the system, what is the best practice to do so?
This messages comes from Banshee's configure script:
configure: error: Package requirements (glib-sharp-3.0 >= 2.99.1) were not met:

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.
What package should I install?
Hi guys,
I have tried to install both leighs driver and any other driver in the past
for my 64 bit machine running Fedora 11 Gnome 64 bit software.
Now I have re-installed Fedora 11 Gnome and I don't want to screw up this video.
Can someone please be clear about what I am supposed to do first.
This week’s official announcement regarding the release of the DROID DNA from HTC continued a trend we have seen of manufacturers pushing the limits of screen size and resolution. The DROID DNA’s 5-inch 1080p display produced by Sharp is certainly an eye-catching feature of the new handset.
Hi Guys,
In Fedora 12, I used
OS=Linux
in a script when I tried to work around to install a software which checks OS to be Red Hat.
After that, uname show : "Linux" instead of normal name.
How can I change it back to Fedora?
thanks
Hi
I saw posts on getting Fedora installed and I started on the steps, however I wanted to know if we still need rEFIt to do dual boots? Fedora 17 onward was supposed to handle booting on EFI systems like the intel 64 bit mac's...
I might get beaten by this line, but I find Mac's to be very delicate in terms of software handling...
Samsung has plunked down $111 million for a 3 percent stake in Sharp, the financially struggling iconic Japanese display maker, in a rare cross-border transaction that immediately slotted the Korean manufacturer among Sharp’s major shareholders.
h everyone!
In years of using and developing small apps for Linux I haven't really come across the need to have 2 custom live installer media. But now I do need them. I'm exactly in need of:
1. MATE spin-off of Fedora - because nobody with a taste for good software likes GNOME3 and XFCE is more of an embedded system desktop environment
2.
