I'm in high school and want to learn about system administration, so I set up a Windows Server 2012 R2 domain controller in a lab and created the domain ad.foo.com. I own foo.com and the domain registrar (Gandi) handles the DNS and hosts my personal website.
In my lab, I've installed the DNS role on the domain controller but I'm unsure of what the Forward Lookup Zone for the domain should be.
I have setup a new windows server with WebsitePanel stand alone server installed om. I have configured everything. When create a new space in WSP, the only information saved in the dns zone file is the SOA record and no A record added. Each service has its own dns zone template records but they are not refflected in domain's dns zone.
We have solaris 10 server that has the been re-installed with OS after OS got currupted. The old ZONE contents has been now restored from backup. Now when we try to check for the zones by listing command, I could find only global zone running. Kindly let me know how to install/configure the zone to make it visible in the list of zone.
