hi, i was jsut wondering if it is at all possible to add smxi to grub2.0 menu instead of pressing ctl+1 at login screen, enter username, enter password, type sudo smxi, etc.. its a looong process cant it be as simple as select smxi at grub menu and short moment later, bang! smxi screen
Well, if google has no answer, maybe smxi scripts can help ... it can detect your video and suggest proper driver:Install smxi script and let it find and install the right driver ... it usually installs the best vide driver for your card (my experience). I am trying to install ubuntu studio on Virtualbox (windows 7).
If I ask the installer to install only the basic system it's all ok... but when I ask to install also the audio programs the installer arrive at 80%, at "configuration of ttf-mscorefonts-installer" and it stay at this point (locked..).
Someone knows what can I do?

I installed SMXI on my laptop and ever snce then I've noticed an intermittent problem where it will not power off.Shutting down the laptop gives the appearance that everything is shutdown, i get the text display after selecting shutdown and the the screen goes black. To the casual observer it would appear that the laptop has switched off, however the power LED on the side of the laptop
