Setting up multiple SSIDs on a single WiFi device

http://askubuntu.com – I'm interested in creating an access point which gives access to a batman-adv mesh... so later I will be investigating what is needed to set up an access point, but for the moment I'm stuck because it's implied that I can create multiple virtual interfaces on the WiFi adapter, but when I try I cannot. $iw phy phy0 interface add ah0 type ibss $ifconfig ah0 mtu 1528 $iwconfig ah0 mode ad-hoc essid batman-adv ap any channel 3 $ifconfig ah0 up This works as expected, and I can create a second interface, but when I try to bring that up I get:- SIOCSIFFLAGS: Device or resource busy Both devic (HowTos)
