Within the next week or so, I'll be setting up an AT&T U-verse modem with 5 usable static public IP addresses. I plan to register a domain name pointing at 1 of the 5 static IPs, and run a website from a single server setup in my home LAN.
Hi,
I am configuring ipv6 static route by using netlink socket. Its configuring in linux and displayed when I am using netstat command. But static routes are not displaying by using "ip -6 route" command. I am using fedora 14-2.6.35.
I have updated iproute2-2.6.37, even static routes are not displaying.
I am developing a project in LAM* and using the Symfony framework.
I have one static IP like 99.99.99.99:8000 which points on my Linux server machine.
This static IP already has port number of 8000.
This Linux server machine has multiple project hosted on it and we access each project in LAN with different port number like abc:81, pqr:82, xyz:83.
I have an Ubuntu Server 10.04.1 that I have given a static IP address. Every six hours or so I will lose connectivity to it and when I type ifconfig to look at the network information, it has been given an address via dhcp. If I run the /etc/init.d/networking restart command the IP address goes back to my static address and things are fine for another 6 hours or so.
I've downloaded the command-line program "Whitaker's Words" which was available for Linux as well as Windows etc.
There is a main program named words.
I have looking through tutorials for setting up Icecast2 server and ices2 on Ubuntu. Unfortunately all of these are based on LAN. I want to set up a Icecast server on a ubuntu machine which will be connected 24/7 to the Internet. The clients need to access the streams, the server provides from across the globe. Assuming the server has a static IP, how do i configure Icecast?
It is very strange that my django website (setup on a linux server with django 1.3) can be visit correctly with linux browsers(firefox, chrome).
