http://forums.fedoraforum.org – I am trying to connect using a mobile broadband usb modem but keep getting a "serial port can not be lock" error message (on fedora 17). I'm pretty sure it's selinux not allowing the pppd daemon to write the the /run/lock folder since # ausearch -m avc |grep pppd gets a "type=AVC msg=audit(1343361171.558:78): avc: denied { read } for pid=1853 comm="pppd" name="lock" dev="sda5" ino=1049868 scontext=system_u:system_r:pppd_t:s0 tcontext=system_u:object_r:var_t:s0 tclass=lnk_file" I've tried both # grep pppd /var/log/audit/audit.log | aud (HowTos)
