Video ad startup Sharethrough has raised $5 million in Series B funding.
The round comes from its existing investors North Bridge Venture Partners and Floodgate.
New York City-based video advertising startup Genesis Media has raised $3 million in Series A funding.
The round was led by digital media holding company Black Ocean (which had previously invested) and ad tech investors Samstella.
Video management startup Kaltura is growing fast, but it’s looking to expand even more, and has raised even more money to do so. The company has closed a $25 million Series D round of funding, which includes money from new investors Mitsui Global Investment and Orix Ventures.
Ivi.ru the “Hulu of Russia” that offers streamed premium TV and films from international and local big-name content holders, has raised another $40 million round of funding. The investment was led by Baring Vostok, a private equity firm, along with existing investors ru-Net, Tiger Global, Prof-Media and Frontier Ventures.
Global expansion doesn’t come cheap, and to that end, mobile app marketing platform, Trademob, has raised a Series B of $15 million led by Kennet Partners. Specifically, Kennet has invested $12.5 million into the Berlin-based startup, with additional funds coming via what is effectively a follow on round from existing investors, Tengelmann Ventures, and High-Tech Gründerfonds.

User generated content company Wikia is breaking the news of its raise of over $10.8 million in Series C funding today, in a press release soon to be sent out to tech media. The financing was led by Institutional Venture Partners with a follow on from existing investors Bessemer Ventures Partners and Amazon.com.
