Hie guys i have got a problem with my shared folder on RHEL 5.3. The situation is like this, there is a shared folder call lpn. pirmary and secondary groups are oraapp. I can access the shared folder from windows machines from anywhere i can copy and paste into the shared folder lpn.
I have filled out the shared folder options in Settings -> Shared Folders of a shared folder with a name of 'share'. It is set to automount but when I start up the guest OS, nothing is showing up in the /media folder.
I run the following command
sudo mount -t vboxsf share /home/mo/local/
it gives me the error
/sbin/mount.vboxsf: mount failed with the error: No such device
I have managed to set up an ubuntu server VM which will eventually be part of a small Hadoop practice cluster. I have followed along with various tutorials online and I'm now trying to set up a shared folder between the guest and host OS.
I am using Ubuntu in a VMWare virtual machine under Windows 7. My torrents are inside a Windows Shared folder and I can see them using the Home Folder link in Linux.
When I call Transmission Bit or even QBittorrent they can't see my Windows shared folders, I can only see my Linux's local Folders.
I have shared folder with an app on win 2008 server. After successful maping of this shared folder from other PC in local network can be open only text files and images. App (.exe) cannot be run. (App works fine, is runing on other server win 2003. Win 2008 is new instalation on new machine.)
I've set up VMWare to run a virtualized install of OSX and am having some trouble with sharing a folder, I've added a folder on the host machine to share but when I go into 'Computer' I just see the Macintosh hard drive, Network and nothing else, I thought this is where I could see the shared folder?
As an aside, if I add the shared folder through a network connection in the virtualized OSX would
