http://www.unix.com – HI Folks, I'm looking for a solution for this issue. I want to find the Pattern 0[0-9]/ and replace it with [0-9]/. I'm just removing the leading zero. I can find the Pattern but it always puts literal value as a replacement. What am I missing?? Code: sed -e s/0[0-9]\//[0-9]\//g File1 > File2 Moderator's Comments: edit by bakunin: Please view this code tag video for how to use code tags when posting code and data. (HowTos)
