Hi,
My first post here:
Was looking if someone can help enhancing my code.
I am limited to sh or ash shell (android / busybox)
I made a script to look for busybox symlinks, backup them and delete them
I have these questions about the below code:
- busybox tar do not has the options to append to an archive, any workaround for my script to avoid backing up separate files?
- I want to avoid gr
I was tinkering with my router these days. It runs on MIPS core and the OS is based on Linux. But the builtin busybox is very limited. I managed to export a binary of busybox compiled for MIPS through telnet. After changing chmod to executable, when I try to run the binary with command './busybox-mips', it instantly prints 'SIGUSR1' on the terminal and terminates. What is wrong here?
Things went south this time and I'm unable to understand it or fix it. This is the end of the message and the beginning is below.
"No init found. Try passing init= bootarg.
Busybox v1.13.3 (ubuntu 2:1.13.3 3 ubuntu7) built in shell (ash) ? 'this was not (bash)'

I am trying to install ubuntu studio 12.10 64bit from a memory stick. Currently the computer is running ubuntu server 12.04 LTS 64bit. I want to completely erase the server OS and replace it with ubuntu studio.
Hi guys, I'm dualbooting win7 an Ubuntu 11.10. Sometimes Ubuntu will boot good, and I can use it etc. sometimes it drops to busybox . It'll load grub, ask Ubuntu or win7 then when I hit Ubuntu it either goes to a purple screen(normal) or black with blinking white cursor.
Hey,
So a few months ago, I installed either an older version of Busybox, or the newer version I installed never stuck. Basically, I have two folders that contain the busybox commands: /sbin and /system/xbin. In Terminal Emu., when I enter a Busybox command, it seems to only acknowledge the older folder (/sbin).
Gave up waiting for root device Common problems:
-Boot args (cat/proc/cmdline)
-Check rootdelay= (did the system wait long enough?)
-Check root= (did the system wait for the right device?)
-Missing modules (cat/proc/modules: ls/div)
ALERT! /dev/sda2 does not exist.
i tried root my wt19i mobile.
recently i upgraded it to ICS by using flashtool
bt i coudn't root it bcos it says
busybox: /system/xbin/showkey: Read-only file system
busybox: /system/xbin/slattach: Read-only file system
busybox: /system/xbin/sleep: Read-only file system
busybox: /system/xbin/smemcap: Read-only file system
busybox: /system/xbin/softlimit: Read-only file system

Hi there all.
I was wondering if anyone might be able to point me in the right direction on an Xubuntu problem.
Last night I was tinkering about in an attempt to overclock my computer.
I was testing booting in with various different fsb values to find the perfect performance.
All of a sudden my xubuntu 10.4 lts would not boot, infact it's dropping me of into busybox with a message busybox
